Let’s get the obvious problem out of the way first: there’s no period at the end. Dropping periods is apparently considered acceptable by people who make memes, but as we’ve established, people who make memes are generally morons who think they’re witty.
So the lack of a period is one problem. And the other is…?
If you guessed lack of a hyphen between between earth and shattering, you’d be correct. Hyphenate phrasal adjectives that precede the nouns they modify.
a pulled-pork sandwich
a tax-paying citizen
a five-year prison term
a two-for-one coupon
So why not hyphenate secret government in the expression secret government files? Because it’s the files that are secret, not the government.
secret-government files = file from a secret government (weird, awkward)
secret government files = secret files from the government
I think that shoe looks like Roy Scheider saying that we’re gonna need a bigger boat.
